Alternator Question

'97 Biuck Lesabre Custom.

140 amp Alternator

4ga power/ground

I may have to purchase a new Alternator soon - Should purchase OEM or an Aftermarket Alternator? I'm asking this because the OEM Amps (Bosch) are a bit more expensive than the aftermarket ones i've found. Currently i'm only running a 4 channel amp (2x85 + 1x300ish) so I dont have *that* much current draw...although my lights were dimming before on low, hard hitting songs (why?)
