a guy up my street wants $700 for it, it looks sexy, black lil customy ,good shape etc, etc.

i kinda need a pickup for occasional hauling jobs and collecting concrete and lumber.

does anyone know it this vehicle is reliable can be repaired easily, has a history of problems or not etc etc?

its old , maybe 1975 or 81? guy sais it runs ok,

im assumeing its going to do 11 miles per gallon but i will only use it very occasionally when i need to move a ton of stuff

i just need the advice of someone who knows older trucks to tell me if the dodge is a relieable worthwhile investment @ $700 title clean etc etc,

of if im better off with a different kind of pickup that i can get for $700 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

whats the best older pickup im gona get for $700 just to haul a few loads to the landfill and loan to my friends to move big tvs and couches?

any avice help appreciated,

that truck should have a 318 or a 360 in it, and both are really good motors. 11 - 14 MPG is about right depending on how you drive it. The ***** might be 727 torqueflight, which is one of the best automatics around. should be great deal, and like regal said, if it runs nice and drives straight its worth a grand.

look into the brakes and make sure they work, because it is harder to stop something than move it.

sounds good, any way i can check the ***** with a flashlight from underneath?

not to worried bout brakes, i drive so slow ill just drag my feet if i have to stop for anything.

look online for number codes, and then check the ID plate on the door jam or the door.

the codes might even be in the manual if there is one. I know they are in the back of mine.

Perhaps if you find the year, call the nearest dodge dealer and they could tell you the codes. that would be the easiest.
