Do you use wood screws or machine screws to mount your sub?

I usually prefer to use machine screws and "T" nuts to mount my subs into my enclosures, but tonight I had a problem with the holes lining up. I just said screw it (get the pun?) and used wood screws. I don't think I'll have any problem with them coming loose, but I still prefer machine screws. What do you guys use?

I usually use whatever I have laying around. Wood screws, drywall screws. Ive never had a problem. I had a zinc coated exterior screw break off on my once but I didnt predrill either.

With that said Ive never used any really heavy subs either.

I guess it really doesn't matter then. I just liked the machine screws and T nuts, but they don't do much good if the holes don't line up. I guess I can't drill straight anymore ;0)

Drywall screws here too. Never had leak issues with them. I usually drill tiny pilot holes though just to make sure I know where I'm screwing.
I drilled pilot holes too. Luckily for me, the wood screws are a bit more forgiving in terms of lining up.

#12 machine screws for large subs, drywall screws for smaller subs.

I broke a Blueprint 1803 right out of the box with drywall screws. heads poped off all 8 screws and the speaker fell out. . .
