do you need to break in a XXX?

I think :

The search button works wonders
sorry didnt know your patience couldnt handle 25seconds to answer helpfully...believe me dont act like you're the veteran who has to tell everyone to search, ive been on many forums for years and I too get frustrated, so i apologize.

breaking in a sub is really up to you man. the sub technically doesnt need it, but the surround will be kind of stiff. its all in your preference. if you want to bump at full volume right when you get it go for it.

Nah, do the opposite of this^^^^^^.
I do, and a sub has never failed me.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif
i did this, and the sub didnt like it, but personal preference i guess.

Well, I broke in my L7's, but there has been topics about "breaking in xxx".. many people will have their own opinion. " Yes you do, or else you will mess your sub up" , or " No you don't, it doesn't make a difference".... So on, and so fourth. To be on the safe side, I would. But thats just me. Other people would oppose, and say not to. It's up to you honestly.

if you plan on keeping the sub along time why wouldn't you give it at least a couple hours of break in time before hammering on it...wouldn't that be considered taking care of an investment...i hate it when s**t breaks and i have to send it in...under 1600 wrms i wouldn't worry too much
