Do you have to top off battery bank with charger?

If so can you charge them with the amp cables connected? Meaning the positives and negatives going to the amps? Will it not hurt the amps?

Do you unplug your amp when the alt is charging the batts?

First off, current is drawn, not "Sent". The amp will be off and will be unaffected. What will "recognize"? These things are electronics and are not alive sir. I don't mean to be a dick I just don't understand what you are getting at with that.
