do you have to fuse the power wire in the BIG 3?

do you have to??......nobody is forcing you to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

But the fuse is there to protect the battery from blowing the hell up. So yes, it is definitely recommended to put a fuse in there just in case.

Fuses protect the wire not the electronics on either end //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I personally wouldn't fuse the power wire unless its longer than 18"

it would seem that the wire guide is no longer stickied does anyone know where it was?
Wire Gauge Recommended

Maximum Fuse Size

00 awg 400 amps

0 awg 325 amps

1 awg 250 amps

2 awg 200 amps

4 awg 125 amps

6 awg 80 amps

8 awg 50 amps

10 awg 30 amps

12 awg 20 amps

14 awg 15 amps

16 awg 7.5 amps

These are the recommended maximum fuse ratings for the corresponding wire size. Using a smaller fuse than what's recommended here will be perfectly safe.

Thanks that is what I was looking for

If you are gonna fuse the alt wire you might as well throw 2 fuses one at the battery and one at the alot to protect it from grounding out. Because the only thing 1 fuse would protect is

No.
Fusing is for wire. The only exception to this is if the component's manufacturer did not incorporate internal fusing. In this case you use 2 fuses. One at the source for the wire, and one at the component.

I personally wouldn't fuse the Big-3. If you doubt your own work, then fuse it.
