yeah i bought a design off ram_designs and he did my design and gave me it like 2-3 hours later but thats not really something i would consider a worry...you charge a dollar.. he doesnt charge much either so i wouldnt lose sleep over that either way.. transactions over $100 or more in alot of cases are different though and seems to be the ones people get burned on..

Havent had any trouble so far. I'm not going to buy a 500$ amp from a guy with 100 posts and 1 feedback just because his name is in a pic with the amp. Post count doesn't always mean you can trust someone also.

Just play it smart, low post count and short membership length and no sales refs makes me uneasy sometimes, buti refuse to send as gift unless it was to ge_off_me or someone i know personally, id rather pay the extra 3% than gift.

I was in high school yes. 10 weeks isn't that crazy actually. 2 months is pretty much standard because they have to wait until there is a full crate of shit to ship over here before they send it.

I disagree. There are plenty of products for sale here that work. That's one of the reason people buy used, is to save money. The risk is what you give for having a cheaper price. But with that said, equipment should work like advertised.

risked buying a like new soundstream SPLX 15" off a member with 20 posts for $150 shipped, said he needed the money bad why he was selling cheap. seems like a huge rip off but i guess i got lucky, havent had a single problem with it. i try to only buy from people im friends with either on here or locally. just comes down to trusting your gut i guess lol

i dont think i would gift to anyone your asking for problems if i dont know you in real life then you might still try some ****..desperate people do messed up things.

Small transactions with trusted people I gift to, or people that are consistently selling stuff with tons of refs of currently active people. It's a small group, any one else I won't gift to. Even if I do gift, I make sure it's not directly from a my PayPal balance, but taken from my bank, that way I can do a chargeback. The burden of proof that I authorized the transaction is on Paypal, which they simply cannot do. NEVER gift directly from Paypal funds, cuz paypal won't do ****.

Exactly. But I don't need to know someone personally to gift, but I wouldn't be worried gifting to someone like RAM_Designs or MOT for instance.

There will be other tell-tale signs even if someone with good rep decides to try to pull something.
