He won't be back. He's probably never even opened a Bible. His type likes to throw out that nonsense with nothing to back it up.
He's what's known as "weak sauce" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
I know I'm digging this up from several pages back, but don't kid yourself. No, I'm not going to go through the Bible and find the specific verses just to prove my point anyone (including myself) who actually HAS read the ENTIRE bible rather than just pointing out well known quotes from the more well-known sections knows that the bible contradicts itself. It's only natural, seeing as it was written by over a dozen different MEN (not written by God, as some people seem to believe). Hell, there are even several books that were REMOVED from the bible centuries ago, in which Peter and others COMPLETELY change their perspective on certain very controversial issues.
Since the death of Jesus, the Christian Church has largely been run as a business. The Roman Catholic Church controlled much of the world for decades. I simply refuse to base my life around a document which has been edited and abridged by corrupt men seeking to preserve their ideals and the status quo.
If you choose to believe everything in the Bible, I have no desire to stop you. If it brings joy or peace to your life, I will not begrudge you your beliefs. Just don't try to push them on me. You will lose. I can, if I were so inclined, dig up documented proof to support my beliefs. You can only regurgitate millenniums-old heresay.
Now, I am not saying, nor will I ever say, that God does not exist. I have seen too much in this world for me to discount his/her/its existence. But if these "brilliant" men couldn't even find 3-story tall dinosaurs that are burried all over the planet, I'm sure there are many other things that were beyond their grasp when/if this god spoke to them. I also don't think God ever stopped talking, or that the way these men saw the world is more important than the way I see it. People seem to think that the Bible represents the final word of God. I think that, because the world has evolved and changed so much, so should our understanding and beliefs. I doubt God would have wanted us to remain stagnant, only believing what ignorant men wrote down thousands of years ago.
