One of my ex's would only listen to Alternative, while I was in my Hip Hop stage.

Kind of... we are both pretty much into everything though, so that makes it easier...

I am mainly hard rock, she was too, until she strarted hangin' ou with the black folk 5-6 years ago... I put an end to that though... we mainly listen to hard rock and country, with a lot of 2pac, mr majik, Outkast and othe rold school shit thrown in... little newer hip-hop and rap but not much....

for the most part. she doesnt care for the rock/metal i listen to , and i dont care much for the 70's-90's crap she listens to. but we both can jam to some good rap/hip hop. we dont mind eachothers music...for the most part...

We listen to pretty much the same stuff. We both tolerate everything so its not a big deal. If she doesn't like it she could always walk.

Nope, My old lady listens to country.

I listen to mostly alternative/rock. But I am starting to get into rap/hip hop a bit because it sounds a lot better on my system than any other music.

Not at all. Rage Against The Machine is NOTHING like the Beastie Boys. Rage Against The Machine spits pretty intuitive metaphors for anti-government... and normally, yeah, yeah, they're just fegs trying to appeal to the masses.

Except the lead singer left the band for a good period to fight in a Revolution in South America.

he just got back and they're re-touring.

But I don't understand how you can thing RATM = Beastie Boys.

The beastie boys are god awful... RATM is pure win.
