Do subs sound louder if....

There is no trunk in the car? I have a 96' Jimmy and it has no real trunk it is just part of the car... Would my subs bump harder in my jimmy or a car with a trunk like a ford taurus ?? This sounds like a stupid question but Im just making sure!

I would say better in the Jimmy. Ported w/ subs up and ports back.

most of the time, unless it is a really small car, you gain db's from having the subs in the cabin. When you are talking about a full sized van compared to a honda civic, it might go the other way depending on box design, driver size, and other variables.

Lets just say it is easier to pressurize a civic than a ford econoline, even though an econoline would be wide open.

Depends on the enclosure. You could use "L" brackets and screw them into the box and to wood hidden under the carpet. Just my opinion. I'm sure there are better ways though.

its louder becasue nothing is stoping it from getting to you. i know in my jetta my one 12 isent all that loud but if i drop the seats it makes a diffrence.
