I heard it's a problem with L5... but not with L7, S15L7 can take 2000W RMS and it has not blown so far.

The L7's are fine. Just dont be stupid with it, having a huge amp and gains up and etc. Power them comfortably and let em WANG

Would the L7 fit in my 1980 toyota pickup...its standard cab...but im only gonna have one..and what kinda box u suggest

it depends on wich size u want. the 8L7 would fit but ne thing bigger than that u probably wont have enough air space or mount depth space. oh and there is no way a 15L5 would handle 2000w rms. not even max w/o burning a coil.

the L7s are fine, and the new design is suppoed to have better cooling with a light cone, even though they listed the power rattings the same as the '03 model

i gave a L5 8" 800rms at 2ohms daily just fine in a 2.5 ported box

i give 2 12"L5 Solo Barics 1100 Rms every day, i get no clipping no bottoming out , and very nice sound, each has about 1.6cubes each and are in a vented enclosure

no, solo barics dont blow easily. i dont know where the fu*k yall got this "L5 has problems" bullsh*t either, i have 15" L5's, my friend has 12" L5's, and even being the volume master i am ive never had any problems, so dont listen to things that people assume or have heard from somewhre else. take it from someone with experience.
