Going active is when you set the frequency and dB slope curve for the cross overs of your drivers, as well as T/A and all that fun stuff.

OP: Sorry to hear about you having eD amps. anyhow, i'd go with 4 channels and bridge. that way you can separate individual gains that you might someday learn how to utilize.

well im not stupid i can set a amp and gains. the only thing that confussseeddd my about active is i had never heard of it to be honest. i dont go to car shows or anything like that and i was never interested this deep into car audio til now. its jujst a simple question no need for a smart *** comment about my amps or my personality. im sure theres tons of things you dont know that i do. sorry car audio wasnt my life and isnt my life.
