Do not buy from Mean Green

I purchased a 225 alt for my s10 on june 2nd. The customer service seemed good and they gave me a decent price. Only problem was it would take a month to build but I can live with that so I went ahead and orderd the alt. Well august 15th comes around and I am wondering where the alt is so I call. I talk to a lady and she takes my name phone number etc and tells me they will call me back with info. a week or so goes by so i call again talk to a guy and he says same thing another week goes by. After this routine for about 2 more calls I Finally talk I talk to a fairly nice guy named paul who I tell I just want a refund since they have no idead where my alt is and its taken almost 2 months to build, This was tuesday. He says sure no problem sorry about the incovience and says I should see my refund in 2 days 3 max. Well its saturday and still dont have shit. I stongly advise from buying from mean-green if you have bought from mean-green and got the alt and went fine glad to hear but my expierience with them was terrible.

 
I haven't heard any negs either. They are out of my league so I never dealt with them, but everyone here who ordered, loved em. meh. My DB Electrical 200amp treats me good for what I have.

Call them one more time. Ask to speak to a manager/supervisor and tell them the deal.

Tell him you plan on filing a complaint with the local Better Business Bureau if you can't get this resolved. I'd also tell him you are a member of several car audio forums and plan on posting your bad experiences everywhere on the internet to let people know about MG's terrible customer service!

If you paid by credit card call your card company and file a dispute charges claim.

There is no excuse for such poor service!

If they had major parts availability issues they should have called you to let you know it was going to talk longer to build!

Still waiting for a refund if I dont get it by tuesday im gonna call my bank. I used my check/credit from them. I went with mean green in the first place jsut because of all the good feedback. Kinda dissapointed this brings me to the next topic. Stock s10 alt kinetic hc2400 big 3 and a red top under the hood of an exile 2400.1 gonna kill my shit right? Ill keep everyone updated to see if my refund comes or what not.

 
well. my buddy bought a motorcity reman alternator for his explorer.

seems like good shit and they are pretty darn cheap too. you just need to tell them you need a smaller pulley when ordering. figured i would drop some info so you have another place to try to get an HO alt if you so choose.

Sorry to say but thats EXTREME and way overly gay about it. Every company has glitches and there is no way to know if its totaly there fault. I think you should speak with a supervisor or some one higher up next time but no report is needed
