Do my speakers need passive crossovers?

The best option would be to go active.

You could use a passive crossover, but you would need to custom design/build your own....which would be a pain in the *** & unless you are skilled in this area would likely produce subpar results.

Grab an active crossover and a 4-channel amp if you don't already have one.

the ohm load is 2.67 ohms when ran parallel. wanna make a custom front stage.
Once the crossover is wired inline, the impedance would actually be 8 ohms in the freq range of the midbass and 4 ohms in the freq range of the tweet. The function of the crossover keeps the amp from "seeing" the out of band driver. It's impedance is effectively infinite and the effect of that wired in parallel with the in band driver is that it doesn't change the resultant load on the amp from that of the driver playing in that freq range.

so if i run the a speaker and tweeter in parallel to one channel, use an active crosover how much power will they get an at what ohm load. the amp is a rockford fosgate 450.4

65x4 @ 4ohms

120x4@ 2ohms

240x2@ 4ohms bridged

Running active you can not run both the tweeter and midbass to the same channel. They must each have their own, independent channel.

No offense, but it sounds like you might be getting in over your head with this setup. Would probably be much easier for you to start out with a prebuilt comp set until you gain some more knowledge and/or experience.
