Do i really need components?

To name a few:
Focal

Boston Accoustic

MB Quart

Image Dynamics

or if you're really loaded

Rainbow

Just to name a few.
if you want really good SQ seps that are not expensive try DLS UR6S. they run for about $400-$500. they got loud bass, sweet highs (not shrill but just right) and clear mids (by mids i mean the vocals). they are highly underrated coz they are not a pretty to look at . do not get MB quartz! they have no bass to them what so ever so your system will miss out on some frequencies. your subs give you the low bass, your mids should provide you with a higher frequency that the subs don't have.

rainbows run i think round 7g's from where i saw them.thats alotta grit for some speakers.im looking for more of a midrange sound and right now i have 2 kicker l7 12's in ported box running from a bx1500d and a alpine type r 5 1/4 component setup running off a rf 100.2,it's all in a 86 jeep cherokee.what should i use to add more midrange sound-another component setup?or a pair of 5 1/4 speakers in the mid door.also, should i buy another amp to power the 2 speakers if i get them?or can i just run them off my 40x4 deck and the 51/4 speakers take 35 watts a piece.what would be the best way to add midrange to the car.i would prefer to use the alpine type r series since i like the sound.please comment on wether i should use another component or some speakers.

What other component systems would you recomend for good sq?im open to anything so if you could recommend a few companys id appreciate it.i still have yet to buy the speakers so any components that sound good tell me and ill go have a listen.thanks
I love my Boston Acoustic 6.53 setup. I listen to hard rock and crank over 500 watts per side to them with no problem. They are kick *** IMO!!!

Here is my two cents. I purchased the pair of CDT CL-61's from thezeb.com $149 Then I purchased a Profile CA400M amp off of eBay for under $100 shipped.

So for $250 or so, I have a great sounding system. I have the 6.5"s in my doors, and the tweeters custom mounted (with double face tape, no less) in the corners of the windshield. It sounds great, and I couldn't be happier.

Here is why I went with what I did:

Price and good SQ was a factor.

I love listening to any kind of music, so harsher titanium tweeters were out. These come with 1" silk tweeters. When I'm listening to opeth and the high hats hit, I don't cringe, it just sounds really crisp and doesn't hurt my ears.

The comps are rated at 80wRMS @ 4 ohms. The amp is 100Wx2 RMS @ 4 ohms. It's a great match.

They have decent midbass, although being mounted in my doors and using plastic mounting brackets, I do believe that I can improve on the midbass response by changing it.

They have no trouble getting really loud to keep up with my subwoofer and I believe that they can keep up with yours with no trouble. The imaging is great and if you want to add a second set of tweeters, there are outputs right on the crossover.

All in all, $250 and I have much higher quality sound that my friends who upgraded all of their stock speakers in their cars with 3 ways from best buy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Did I mention I paid about the same?

Peace out, if you're from MN, I'd be glad to let you hear my system.

T.J.
