Do I need to upgrade my electrical system?

I don't pretend to know too much about this, but I think you will probably be ok. That is not a huge amount of power and the friggin Ram is built like a tank. I have a '98 -- gas sucks but power is great. I know that doesn't exactly relate to electrical, but still.

and I am basing that statement on the idea of running 1500 rms

I'm running upwards of 1700w right now to my system

stock alt, some interstate battery, and no big 3, I get dimming but its not too bad

why would you get more batteries if your alt cant keep them all powered?

you probably have an 80 amp alt, maybe a 90.
