do i need to upgrade my alternator

i have dual 800rms 12 in subs, and a 2000 rms monoblock amp.
however, even though i just bought this alterntor, my car runs a rather low 70amp alternator, will i have to buy a high output alternator? or can i just turn it down or something

What kind of vehicle? is it old school? 70 amp alt is pretty small.

Are you currently experiencing any problems with your system?? 70 amps is low, but not an issue if your stereo plays satisfactorily. If you are experiencing issues, then an upgraded alternator is a good idea.

For daily use a large AGM up front with if necessary something in back may be enough, that said if you are wiring down a legit 2K for audio mayhem I'd advise a 200A alt /w/ a fat 100A AGM minimum. 70A is pretty lacking beyond basic functions like hi-beams and power windows.

Upgrade your alternator and add a 10-farad cap.

I'd take a close look at what'll fit then go with the largest one that will. Last underhood agm I bought was a Duralast Platinum 94R H7 iirc. I think the factory group size was a group 35 but I was able to fit the H7 in there.

Working with a 70A alternator would mean as much battery as I could fit to me. It may not be enough for extended hard use but its a start at least.

Make sure it is a starting battery.
