I have 2 dvc alpine 12r subs 4ohm and an orion 1200d to run the subs.I have a pair of bravox 6.5 components for the 2 front doors and alpine 6x9 type r for the rear deck which will be run by kenwood kac-8402 4 channel amp and I am going to use 2 batteries the one under the hood and an optima yellow top in the trunk for the amps. With this setup do i still need to do the big 3 are should this setup be ok?

Personally I would have done the Big 3 before buying the second >$100 battery. If your charging system would be inadequate for that 1200d and that KAC-8402 then giving it one more thing to keep up with by way of that Optima won't really help at all.

Upgrading your Big 3 doesn't change the charging capacity of your electrical system. It increases it's efficiency by giving it a less resistant path to flow upon.

If he already has the amp and rear stage, why use the HU to power the rears ?
sell the amp?..find a better one?...maybe even find a better set comps for the front?...i wouldn amp my rears*though i have before:)*but thats just me

why would i sell the amp?By the way bravox makes some of the top component speakers on the market. Why would i buy component speakers and not use and amp with them?
