I plan on buying a new sub amp that has a 135A fuse rating and i have a 4 channel that is installed and its a 40A fuse rating amplifier....my 4 channel can only take 8 AWG power and ground...but the 2 channel sub amp can take 4 AWG power and ground...Do I have to do 1 run of 8 AWG for 4 channel...individually fused under the hood with 40A fuse and another run of 4 AWG for sub amp..individually fused under the hood with like a...humm not sure what fuse to use under the hood for sub amp...what size fuse do i use under the hood for 135A fuse rating sub amp?? a 135A fuse if they have em??....I would not need a distro-block with this setup..correct??...with a total of 175A will a yellow top battery and 105A alternator be good enough??...just wondering if I should buy a new yellow top or do I also have to buy a new like 200A alternator...thanks

I would say definitly, Your only going to get the best performance from your equipment when supply adaquete power. I just ordered a 160 amp from Ohio Generator. It was very pricy but They have been around since I started installing in the 90's and have a great rep.

cause i was thinking of getting a US Amps USA-300X..old school...900x1@ 4 ohms...and its 135A fuse rating...but would I be okay with just a yellow top..cause I plan on getting one really soon...as for the alternator....ohio gen is good really good...But who would install the alternator?? Cause its not like its a stock replacement that the dealership is used to...I am sure my local shop can do it...but it dont hurt nothing to put on a bigger...say 200A alternator..just adds more power...i guess i will check out ohio gen web page..if i can find it..thanks

Actually the alternator they have for your car and mine is a stock replacement but with different internals. I just got the call that mine is ready but they are cash only, they will not except debit or check so I have to go down to Ohio to get it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
