Do I need anything extra when buying new wheels and tires?

Do I? like on discounttiredirect.com when I have everything in my cart there is a wheel installation kit and valve stems automatically in there. The installation kit is $45 and the valve stems are $12. The stems are no big deal but saving $45 would be really nice for the install kit.

i think installation kit may be locking lugnuts...both can be had cheaper at an autoparts store

i got mine free with my wheels....tell the salesperson on the phone if he'll throw in the lugnuts and valve stems for free you'll buy them...they usually will...if not your not out anything...they get all of it for like $15

not always...some will wear out the mounting holes on aftermarket wheels

well you HAVE to get stems, otherwise you are gonna get wheels and tires with no air and a pencil sized hole in the rim

The install kit is lugnuts (with or without locks), hubcentric rings (if necessary) and sometimes other odds and ends.

Get on the phone, tell them you'll buy it, but only if they toss the kit in.

Discounttire usually comps that equipment, anyways.

no he said what would he need.. I was saying they might include them.. if they don't for some odd reason he will need to get them balanced.. idk what he got exactly.. if you get them mounted they usually throw in stem for free along with balancing but he was talking about stems not being there so i figured they weren't being put on
