do i need another batt under the hood?

this is what i plan to run.

2 12" fi bl's fully loaded off a aq2200d amp wired to 1ohms. 1 deka intimidator 9a31 for the aq amp. box will be 2.5 cubes per sub tuned to 32hz, dual chamber an double baffle.

CTX65CS Image Dynamics for the front stage off a alpine mrp-f300 amp bridged givin them 150watts each. then a lil kinetik hc800 for the speaker amp.

i'll be gettin a HO alt(220amp, 110idle), big 3 upgrade to 0 gauge.

i was just plannin on keepin the stock battery under the hood but is that okay? or will i have to get a different battery? i have no clue what kinda batt it is but the car is a 98 camry if that helps at all.

Upgrade your battery.

Does your battery go dead while going 60mph down the freeway?

More batteries won't help, high output alt is the only method.

Remember that the only reason you care about batteries is to start your car. Once you start your car, your alternator takes over powering EVERYTHING including powering your batteries to keep them charged. If you're running off battery at all while the car is running, you have a problem at the alternator that you have to resolve.

If you want to run 9,000 watts for a while parked with car off, a bank of batteries might be a good idea. Otherwise, don't bother.

The ONLY reason to add another battery is because your running your speakers while the car is off and you're running out of juice.

The alternator should be supplying all current to the car and powering your system with no problem. If your alternator sucks dick and can't do it; then adding more batteries makes the problem worse. (What's a battery? Another load on the alternator, just another POS the alternator has to constantly keep charged.)

If your stock batteries are dying while bumping down the freeway; then your alternator sucks and can't handle keeping your battery charged. How do you think it will manage to charge two batteries? You'll merely extend your play time until both batteries die.

Think about it!

yes, the little kinetik wont be just for the speaker amp, when wired in parallel to the alt it becomes part of the system or one big batt, in a sense you would have 3 different types/sizes of batteries which isnt a good idea. Try to get another deka for under the hood to replace the stocker, 9a31 in the back and go from there

Ive got the stock alt (100amp) on 4000rms, with 2 shitty batteries, and I dont dip belows 12's. Youd be far batter off with your less power

well i think ill get that alt seeing as how it can also fit into the my next car which is a celica. so mine as well buy that now u no instead of the 2 batts.

so is there a way i could just run all my crap off that HO alt the g31 in the back and the stock batt up front?

I would get a deka under the hood and a 9a31 in the back, hook up both amps to the rear battery, I dont know what car you have but either a 9a78dt (has gm side posts) or a 9a34m should fit under the hood

I doubt an alt built for a 98 camry fits a new celica, engines have got to be different.

well actually there very close in size. i emailed the dude on the website im buyin it from an he said it would work fine. its a alternator that is made to fit multiple cars i could show u the link if u'd like.
