do i need an amp for my 6x9's??

My reciever has a 50 x 4 watt amp in it already.....i was hoping to jsut run the 6x9's off of my reciever....but i didnt know if that would still sound decent or not. The speakers are 55 watts RMS (220 watts max)....i dont want to buy an external amp if i dont have to....i want to know if it will still sound good without an amp. Should i get an amp or not?? Will it make that much of a difference??

id get a amp, ur cd player really only puts like 22watts rms out so id get a amp, theyll be louder

the should be fine off the h/u its just if u want them to get louder then buy an external amp
