Right now i have a 100 amp alternator, and have a 300 watt Blaupunkt amp hooked up. If I add an AQ 1200D, will I need to upgrade, and if so, to what amperage?Probly a noob question, but I guess I'm a noob //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
for a 1200d prolly not but big 3/ backup batt like a hc600

If u can afford it, sure. But def not needed. Get a yellow top or something. Good 1/0 gauge wire all over, Big 3 with 1/0 and that'd most likely be enough. After that then you can add a battery in the back or 2. Id say alt would be the last thing to get. But if i could afford one id get one first.

So basically.. Yellow top up front, 1/0 wiring, and big 3 should be enough. But yeah you can add anoter battery out back if u have any problems before u need a new alt. Ive heard of people pushing over 3500 watts rms with stock alt (although not recommended) so its possible.

system in sig on stock 130a

A h/o alt is hands down the best investment you can make in your electrical. Especially in a daily driver. Your alt will be the first thing to suffer from the abuse.
I don't think he's pulling enough power right now to warrant the expense...the Big 3 should do it...IMO

lol ure in the wrong type of hobby if u dont want to spend money
Lol, if you're 16 working maybe 10 hours a week at minimum wage, you can't afford to not be cheap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
