Do I need a cap?

Hey I'm new here and I had a question. I recently purchased a 10" Alpine type r and a Profile AP1000M 500w @ 2ohm mono amp. In a few months I am planning on adding 2 sets of infinity kappa 692.7i's and a Profile AP 740 90w x 4 @ 2ohm. Will I need a cap for just the subwoofer? Will I need a cap once I add the second amp? If I need a cap, will one work for both amp? Do I need to add a cap to both amps? Thanks for any help.

will I have to worry about lights dimming or burning out my alternator prematurely? I just ordered the sub and amp so I have not installed them yet.

Hey bud, No dont worry about burning up your ALTERNATOR. you shouldnt worry about dimming, you wont be running enough watts. Just go ahead and hook it all up and make sure you use adequate size wiring and fusing. good luck

Thanks. I am planning on running 4 gauge wire. Once I get the second amp, I guess they will both be running 8 gauge from the distribution block. I know the 4 channel recommends atleast 8 gauge and I believe the mono amp recommends aleast 8 also.
