I'm gonna be powering 1 Digital Design 9512 with a DD M2b amp rated at 1700rms-1ohm@12v

2200rms-1ohm@14v. Ill be running 4g wire from to the neg straight back to the amp along with a 0g wire for the pos. Would i need a extra battery by the amp??

Thank you

Ive already done the big 3

Alright....i have the og wiring installed.

I decided not to run negative from the front to the back, i just grounded it to the cab.

I've also purchased a khc2000. Would that battery and a 200 amp alt be sufficient enough?

Thanks

Grounds are just as important as positive. If you check my signature. I have 3 runs of power and 3 runs of ground. Along with grounding to the frame and engine block.

The absolute best way to know if your going to need to need to beef up your electrical. Is to see what your voltage is at when everything is done.

For instance. I have a 380 amp alternator and 3 batts. My voltage stays around 13.5 on heavy playing. I don't have to. But I am going to add a 2nd alternator so my voltage stays @ 14.4 no matter what. I want my amp making all of its power

Well the sub is rated at 1500rms....so if my volts don't drop below 12.5...i should be fine.

I hook up a cteck charger to my batteries once a week just to give them a nice charge but sometimes they don't even need it
