Yes you need to ground your 2nd battery!

If you do Batt1 ground to Batt2 ground, place a fuse inbetween just incase of a shortage. It'll safe your electrical. ( TRUST ME ).

I'm running mine like:

Batt 1 Ground to Frame

Batt 1 Ground - 300A ANL Fuse - Batt 2 Ground

Batt 2 Ground to Frame to another bolt on Frame

Then:

Batt 1 Power Wire - 300A ANL Fuse - Batt 2 Power

Batt 2 Ground/Power to Capicator

Capicator to Amps

I haven't completed my Big 3 yet... On my last stage. ( Alt to Engine Block to Frame )

Hey man thx for the info there im copy and pasting that and printing it and saving it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif thx man that explains it well.

will do for sure man . im also moving the washer fluid box that way i can save length in wire also and just run the 2nd batt on left side of engine bay & turn the washer fluid box the other way:D.

Since he batts are within 1ft. of each other, It'll only require 1 fuse off Batt 2. Due to the simple fact of him havin' a fuse inbetween the combined grounds of Batt 1 to Batt 2.

[batt1Ground]

to

---Fuse---

to

[batt2Ground]

and

[batt1Power]

to

[batt2Power]

to

---Fuse---

Remember in DC power, the current to transferred through the Ground.

I'd just put a 200A Curcuit Breaker between Batt 1 and Batt 2.
