Do I have the right amp kit?

So right now I have the KnuKonceptz KCA 4 guage amp kit, which has a 80A fuse. I have a two part question.

First, is this fuse rating high enough to cover my current amp/setup (if that makes sense)?

Right now I have an Eclipse XA5000 5 channel amp, putting out 450w to sub and 50w to each of the front door components.

Second, is I'm in the process of changing out my setup to something with a little more power. Still undecided on a specific amp/amps, but lets say the sub will be getting 750w and the components will still be getting the same, 50w each. Will my current amp kit cover this extra power? Or will I need to maybe switch to another 4 gauge amp kit that is pure OFC with a higher fuse rating? Thanks

Cool, thanks. It looks like it would be in my best interest to go ahead and change it then. Either looking at Knu's KOL-AK4 or something from Stinger or Streetwires. They all seem to be close in price.

the amp power ratings are only one factor used in fuse/wire sizing, how you plan on using them is what determines the electrical needs. the impedance load on the amp(s), the gain setting, and the use of the volume control all determine it.

for example, two of my amps recommend a 60A fuse each. i keep a 30A fuse on them, just because i've never needed more than that by putting a 4 ohm load and not a 2 ohm load on all channels.

that said, i agree you should have a true copper 4 awg kit so you can have 125-150A of fusing and call it good.
