i have never heard of the batts your talking about. but from what i remember the mmats amps take alot of juice to power so u def need electrical to back it up. Have you done the big 3? that should be your first step. the hu should work for a starter system. my suggestions on batts are C&D and Sprinter. On the alt contact robbie at dc power inc. my alt is a xp260 it does 200@ idle and 260@ 1300 rpm if i remeber correctly. Your gonna pay good money for a good alt

Man you're late to the party. LOL Go to the first page, I'm more than likely gonna get a better HOA. And I already have one that isn't doin the job at idle. So I'm seeing if he'll take my alternator + cash.

im not late to the party....and i doubt he'll take the alternator in on trade...its not worth it...only reason he would is maybe seeing what his competition is doing, and honestly DB is not any competition.

Also I didn't understand what you were saying in your first sentence at all. A little clarity? I've been researching it and it seems like the Enersys HX330 is a very good battery. Check it out on their website. And let me know.

Your exactly right, that's the problem. Maybe their looking at the burning gas factor at Idle, IDK? Secondly what components would you have went with for the money?

Likely, Image Dynamics. Depending on the budget. Or the Phoenix Gold RSD's.

A DC Power alternator, or a mechman alternator, are the two best bets.

Thanks mane. My question is sho'nuff answered. I just got the Mmats 3500.1 in the mail a few hours ago and hooked it up. It will only play when the gain is turned about a 1/4 of the way up. Any higher and it starts sending off warning shots. I'm not taking any chances. I disconnected it until I get the battery for it. This is my first experience with Mmats period and as we thought, this thing requires alot of juice which I won't have til tomorrow.

No that's not enough juice, your gonna need atleast another quart of OJ, and a gallon of apple then you'll be set.

dude I sell db alts all the time and have never had 1 test less than 10% of what it says, his alt should do 100-110 at idle and 200++ at 2000 rpm. if it is the alt contact DB and have them warranty it.

my brothers 8 sub minivan has 2 DB's 220 amp alts and 4 bt80 batteries with 11 amps and never drops below 12 volts at idle.

if it is dropping at idle you have a wire issue or the alt has an issue that is warranty fixable.

also if you have a battery issue it can cause the same issue.
