dmm on subs

Lol I accidentally did that the other day. The wires did not have a good connection on the box wire port. So not thinking i pulled um out and went to re twist the ends. It did not take me long to realize it was a bad idea.

set dmm to ac volts disconnect the sub wires and plug dmm in + and - if it reads anything then its putting out power. how much power? you square the volts and devide by final load of your sub.

yeah this usually means that the coil is fried

Didnt hear a cracking noise, but I noticed the wire thing that goes from the coil to the cone is loose on both subs. If one sub is fried, would the other still work with the way I have it wired? Its possible both got fried?

if one sub is bad the way u have it hooked up the other one should not work

but im not 100% on that
