i dunno about buying a generic crossover. everything i've ever read has suggested against them.

eigther go active, get someone reputable to design you a crossover and then build it, or use a passive crossover designed and made by the manufacturer to work with a specific woofer/tweeter combo in your application (car).

maybe someone with more experience can comment on the prefab crossover.

incuding shipping that'll be around $100, for a little more you could probably get a decent set of components.

just a thought, i don't have much experience with crossover design.

i did hit up the PE forums quite a bit trying to setup a nice set of bookshelves, and they ended up talking me out of a pre-fab crossover, or even trying to design one myself. i ended up with the dayton br-1 bookshelf's.

and they kick ***. sorry, totally off topic.

Prefab Xovers are less than desireable unless they happen to be right where the speakers will like them. As far as getting loud? ehh, maybe. WIll probably lack some midbass though.

I have a similar setup but with the the audax tweeters, the same crossover, and then the 6.5 mids. I was told that that dayton tweeters just plain out arn't very good and to go with the audax dome tweeters instead. If you get those mids though I suggest you debunk them cause they freakin huge.
