I was described a way to find the ruff output of your amplifier us a voltmeter (DMM)

I completely forgot what I was told, does anyone else know a way.

I'd really like to have this knowledge.

You hook it up to a wall socket and put a dmm on the output terminals

If all you have is DMM you could load the amp down with some non-inductive resistors and get a ballpark... really you should have a good clamp meter and someway to make sure you aren't running the amp into distortion...

for a full range amp hook up a piezo tweeter in parallel with the load.. harmonics will make her scream..

Otherwise you need a o-scope or a program like speakerworkshop (and the knoledge to use it)

sweet, in greater than 10 seconds? literally greater than 10 seconds? why, I bet if you ask nice, you might still get an answer in greater then 10 seconds. maybe use the search, or google, and shave a bit off that, get down to less then 10 seconds.

and yes, based on conditions, that method is pretty "ruff". you can overrate the amp by 100% if you try.
