DISTORTION!!!! Im getting mad...

I have the DVH-P7000 and the plain pioneer 7 inch motorized monitor... Rockford Fosgate 1500 bd amp and 3 12 inch he2's... Now when the car isnt running i jus turn it on battery my screen has no distortion... When running it has like so little lines on it and looks like crap!!! My amp makes my subs hummm like... I dont think its a ground... The only thing I can think of is my alternator is going bad... I have a 97 mustang gt convertible with 110,000 miles... Is there a filter I can buy or something??? I am confused???

Reground the headunit / screen systems. Do not use the factory ground wire. Move the ground wire on the sub amp to another location and check it for resistance on the ground return. What is the balance of the system?

Most cars have this, but try this it worked on my car. If you are grounding the sub to the body of the car then you may need to add an additional ground by the battery. Most cars are grounded to the frame and over time the frame and body will have corrosion keeping them from getting a good contact. Run a piece of wire from the negitive terminal of you battery to the body of the car. About 12 inches is all you will need.
