Distortion from one mid

I'm getting distortion from one of my mids, while the other one sounds great. And it only really happens on some midbass heavy songs & at high volume. Any ideas?

No opinions on this issue? It's a passive set of components & hasn't seen anymore abuse than the other (that plays loud & clear). So I'm basically wondering if it's defective (bad vc, x-over or something) & should be returned under warranty or if there could be some explanation that could be fixed through troubleshooting?

Clipping, turn your bass EQ back a click or two. Should fix the problem. Also watch your volume. Dont turn the unit past 75% of max.

Well if its like mine (and others) ES-620s, the cone probably separated from the spider. That's what happened to mine...

Or the mid is touching something behind or in front of the cone to make it sound like that.
