Distance from subs to tail lights?

What kind of car is it? I'm running an angled variation of sub back port to the side in a corner, with a fairly low tuned box (32-33) and its real stout from 45 down to the mid 20s and rolls off hard in between 20 and 25.

heres a pic:

Don't laugh at the Kicker, its my winter beater and it was cheap as fvck.

My Honda Accord is loudest when the box is as close to the back of the trunk as possible. I give the subwoofer just enough room so that it doesn't hit the back of the trunk while playing. Makes it louder on all frequencies and you can feel it a lot more.

tried a few positions corner load was a fail, extremely close to the lid was a fail on the low end and about 5-6 inches from the lid there was maybe a slight increase in the low end. Really I noticed very little difference with it closer or farther but now I can have my amp properly placed so im happy.

performance goes up as the closer your subs get to the rear. (when rear facing) the reflecting wave of the trunk lid and the original wave begin to cancel the further you get away. The best you can do is usually about 4-5 inches from the rear.
