Directed Audio?

and PPI..

dei = good shit. they also make some of the best car alarms out there.

i have a DEI 1100d and its solid. and i have a viper 550.6 and its so sweet. and i have a PPI PC1400 and i love it.

all i can say is good stuff.

I have the Directed 1500D which is basically the same as the 1100D. It's running 3 compvr dual 4-ohm 12's and is wired in parallel/parallel so it's seing .67 ohms. I've had it that way for 8 months and it hasn't gone into protection yet even after running on a 6 hr road trip.

how exactly did you come up with .67 ohms--i'm confused.

Dual 4-ohm in parallel = inverse of (1/4 + 1/4) = 2 ohms.

Three 2-ohm speakers in parallel = inverse of (1/2 + 1/2 + 1/2) = inverse of 3/2 = 2/3 = 0.67 ohms.

about the same quality both designed here and built over seas. not the best but definately good quality. too your ears i doubt you will think they are bad in anyway. especially in req's system with his outboard processing i doubt he could really tell between the dei's and a helix amp.

req do you know if you can bridge channels 5 and 6 into a 2 ohm load?
i know they are 4 ohm stable when bridged.

im going to be bridging 1&2 @ 8ohms for horn1, and 3&4 @8ohms for horn2 - squeak told me id be like 37 watts and some change. and audiolife told me 35watts would make my ears bleed. so ill be turning the gain on them channels down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

then ill be running each koda off channels 5(koda1) and 6 (koda2) because the sub channel is on its own powersupply.

im not sure if you can bridge 5&6@2 though.. lemme check. i got the PDF right here...

[insert jeproady music]

it says that;

1&2 \\ 3&4 bridged @4 will give ya 150w x2

5&6 bridged @4 will give ya 250w x1

it says you can run 5 and 6 SEPERATLY @2ohms, but it does not say weather you can or cant bridge 5&6@2. i would say no, most PPI\DEI\ADS stuff was not able to be bridged less than 4ohms. id keep it bridged at 4 if i were you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif
