dimming lights

guys i own a 2000 dodge durango with a 160 amp altenator.i'm running two old school ppi art series a600 one powering my 15" kicker subs and the other my mids and highs.the problem i'm having is that my headlights dim alot whenever the bass hits hard.i am running 4 gauge wire through out the system and i don't understand why my lights dim so much with the 160 amp altenator.any help out there please. thanks.

i have the same prob with my 140a...havnt done the big 3 though..but in my caprice i had a 80a and it didnt dim as bad as this....

big three would be the first step into figuring this prob out...

no i didn't do the big three.what wire gauge would you guys reccomend.thanks

same as your power wire...so probably around 4awg to 1/0awg.

I would also look into having your bat tested if the big 3 doesnt help on that. Because that is a big alt, and those amps dont draw that much.
