digital voltage reader?

im going to be installing a second battery in my trunk within the next week or 2 just waiting to buy wires off knu, and to find a good priced relay, im sure i DONT need a voltage meter up on the dash but would it be benifical to me like are they expensive?

wal-mart 15.00 and it plugs in the cig. lighter or wire it straight to the amp with a switch.

they are cheap, someone was selling them here for like 20 shipped and u can get'm cheaper than that. they help diagnose problems quicker that's for sure. some decks (pioneer) have voltage readouts builtin

they are cheap, someone was selling them here for like 20 shipped and u can get'm cheaper than that. they help diagnose problems quicker that's for sure. some decks (pioneer) have voltage readouts builtin

I could be wrong, but if your HU is ran off of your up front battery & that battery's isolated, then the HU's reading won't be accurate will it? Like the amps in the back off diff. batteries will have a diff. voltage.

good point, but its still good to have a voltage meter for the upfront batt too. may have issues and never know until the car doesn't start
