Digital volt meter?

I just bought a stinger digital volt meter and want to know the best place to hook it up at. Do I hook it to the rear batts, to the amp or where????? I just want to keep an eye on the voltage my amp/amps are seeing.

if you connect it to the amp leads, you'll monitor amp voltage. this will include voltage drop on the power wire/grounding.

if you connect it to the battery, you'll monitor the car's electrical system voltage.

neither is wrong, it's a matter of personal preference.
