because dante's 180.5 was never backed up...seems Team edge holds the current world record with 180.1.

But Dante throws up very impressive numbers with a 18"Z and 4 stetsom 7k's
hmm well maybe not official then.

honeslty to me, having to make the same number pop up 3 times in a row or back to back or whatever is BS. if you burp it once and it pops a 180.5, game over in my book.

yeah i don't write the rules. Dante is a dick tho, and edge audio was very cool at finals.
i know, i was just putting in my .02c //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

as long as its verified, its all good to me.

The point is not looking for a fluke situation. if your system can burp a certain number, you should be able to repeat it. If you cannot, the guy who CAN should win.

What if a manufaunction occurs and the TL accidently presented a 200db reading for someone. Should they not be required to repeat the score?

Obviously the reason for duplication of a score is looking for a 'world record' that is a solid score, not a one night situation when the wind was just right and the sun and moon were aligned perfectly etc. That is how the competition works, and a competition system should be setup up accordingly. The big guys all know this.

i dont see it that way. if its a properly working TL, and the score is put up and verified, to me, its a record. now if it was only him and his buddies around and no third party person or video then yes, i think its invalid.

sure maybe, heat, cold, elevation or whatever element (i dont know if those actually affect anything im just giving an example) might help/hurt can be a factor, but if thats the case then all world records need to be reattempted in a secured building that guiness or whatever, approves of. sprinting records, audio, eating, jumping, etc etc whatever.

thats just my opinion.

edit: this assumes they were able to hit 180.5 consecutively at some point in time and then were not able to do it later at a different event. if they truly did hit a 180.5 ONLY 1 time (even at the same event), then i will agree with you.

maybe i just dont take this stuff so seriously //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

probably why i dont have my own record book lol
