holy **** this dude is a JACKASS.. someone kindly tell him STFUOh my ******* god you are dense. You do know there are different kinds of distortion right? Clipping, crossover? That's not the same thing.
Start reading fudge cake.. Last time we talked you was fimilar with electrical drdrawinsaka prints.I'm not particularly familiar precisely of what you are talking about, but I suss from what you wrote you are asking me to comment on the different forms ("class topologies" to use ten penny words) of THD has on signal waveforms. I;d have to read up on it a mit, but I guarantee I have the background education to cogently discus the subject!

Well it would be interesting to hear the differences explained by someone with a formal background in EE.I'm not particularly familiar precisely of what you are talking about, but I suss from what you wrote you are asking me to comment on the different forms ("class topologies" to use ten penny words) of THD has on signal waveforms. I know a trap when I see one being set for me. Go fish!Well it would be interesting to hear the differences explained by someone with a formal background in EE.
Also if you don't mind can you explain the electrical theory between using bipolar transistors vs using mosfets? I've always been intrigued behind the decision to use one or the other for a high quality amplifier where costs don't play such a large role in the design decision.
No, I have a legitimate curiosity. As far as I know you are the only one currently active on the forum with an electrical engineering degree. You have the formal expertise to make significant contributions to technical discussions. I'm hoping you can be the change you want to see in the forum.I know a trap when I see one being set for me. I'd think the actual difference between bipolar vs. MOSFET transistors in audio amplifiers would be a wash for most applications. But I'm sure some would find great justifications in using one or the other. Vacuum tubes on the other hand have some great advantages for audio amplifiers. Much more resilient about being over drivenNo, I have a legitimate curiosity. As far as I know you are the only one currently active on the forum with an electrical engineering degree. There's a guy on the diyma forum that actually makes tube amplifiers. I've thought about picking one up to play around with.I'd think the actual difference between bipolar vs. MOSFET transistors in audio amplifiers would be a wash for most applications.
