Diffference between older and new eclipse units?

I'm looking to buy the 5423 unit. However, I was just wondering if there are any major differences between this unit and say the new 5444 unit, that make spending the extra greenbacks on the newer model. Any input?

Same basic amp, same laser pickup, same tuner, same basic preamp. Add a improved display, add MP3, add a memory stick port and add much more flexibility.

Unless the prices difference is under $50 forget it, just go with the older model.
