I notice that the same sub model with say DVC 2ohm and a DVC 4ohm, the subs have a different moving mass and a different sensitivity.

How do voice coil get wound for different ohm loads?

Less revolutions around the (former)? Less overall wire length?

Seems lower ohm subs are lighter than their higher ohm siblings.

Lower the ohm the thicker the wire. The higher the ohm the thinner the wire but will have more windings. Lower ohm coils have a slight edge when it comes to power handling. It is not a night and day difference though.
