Different size subs in same install

You know I've been doing installs for a few years now and can't say that I've ever done one quite like this. My friend has a 2000 single cab chevy silverado and not much room to work with but I've already made a ported truck style box for him with a IA LI 10" in it and he is craving more . He asked me yesterday about adding an 8" woofer to the system b/c he doesnt wanan give up as much leg room as the passenger did. I think there may be enough room to do a ported 8 but I'm thinking would it give off two diff tones of bass but I'm thinkign if i tuned them the same it wouldnt be a problem. Just drop any opinions or experiences with similar setups .

Why not just get two 8" and sell the current LI or get another 10? FG could help for space....just an option

I've heard different size subs in a setup, and i must say that i didnt like it.

Im looking into possibly doing a whole new setup the RL-i 8's has to deep of a mounting depth the ED9v.2k's are acceptable . But I'm kinda looking into shallow mount subwoofers like 2 10's or maybe 12's sealed .

you could use those flat pioneers. I've heard them before and they sound **** good for the price and the space issue.

I did an install with three infinity perfects, 2 10" and a 12" and it sounded bomb. try it out i guess. as long as theyre not too different of subs

Well incriminator audio as far as I know doesn't make a Lethal injection 8" so mixing subs is out of the question now a total new setup is possible . Where as the shallow mount woofers come into play my friend likes that hard bass you can feel not so much louder to the ear so I'm thinking of sealed . Now jsut to find some good shallow mount subs.

Thanks jack those do look like some very capable woofers much better then the offerings by pioneer and earthquake. If he doesn't need it louder, just more eh, vibrate-y, then give him an aura shaker. That'll fix him right up, swear.

The ButtKicker version is seriously violent. I was amazed when I demoed one.
