Different ohms amp/speakers

I have a amp that says it's 2 ohm sterio stable/Bridgeable into 4 Ohms. I'm getting some audiobahn 1200q's that are 4ohm DVC's.. I am confused at how I can hook these up without screwing up.

my amp is... (don't laugh to hard) a Pyramid PB880 1000W 4 Channel

here are specs on the amp

# Four Channel Amplification

# 4 x 250 Watts/2 x 500 Watts Bridged

# Dual Fully Adjustable Electronic Crossovers

# Dual Variable Bass Boost (0~12db @ 60 Hz)

# Digital VU Level Meters

# Plexi-glas Top Panel

# Soft Turn On/Off Circuit

# 2 Ohm Stereo Stable/Bridgeable into 4 Ohms

# Dual MOSFET PWM Power Supplies

# Variable Gain Control/Remote Turn On

# Heavy Duty Aluminum Alloy Heatsink

# Hi/Lo Level Gold Plated MOLEX Inputs

# Power and Protection LED’s

# S/N Ratio: >95dB

# Frequency Response: 15-30k Hz

# THD:

# Fully Protected Circuitry

I know that the amp isn't powerful enough but I'd rather be underpowered than end up hooking it up wrong..

responses are appreciated.

so your saying to use only one voice coil? per channel? this dual voice coil stuff is really confusing to try to make it match a amp.

to make matters worse...I'm wanting to use only 2 channels of the amp for the subs if possible. the other 2 channels are for my mids.

wire the two subs to 2 ohms and run each of them to one channel. That leaves you 2 free channels... but I doubt you will be impressed with the output. Id bridge it and get another amp for your mids.

ya.. I know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif but it's the best I can do till I get a new amp

just wire each subs VC in parallel for a 2 ohm load and connect it to a channel do the same for the other sub and get a new bass amp and use that POS for just the mids...

^^just like SSS said

also you may want to get a new bass amp instead of a new mids amp that amp is probably putting out:

1000/5= 200 / 2 = 100 watts per channel BRIDGED

and probably about

40 watts x 4

so in reality i doubt your going to give them subs any more than 25 watts per coil using that amp

the RMS on the subs is 700 each.. DVC's at 4ohms. something inexpensive but good.. expecting more than 200+ though. my alt is standard for my vehicle, so I'm not sure how big. would be cheap to step it up though.. since my vehicle is older than most of us here.
