Differences in fuses?

Fuse it at the capacity of the cable.

Most 4awg cable is rated for 100amps.

To answer the original question...

AGU= glass fuse, is clamped at each end with compression fittings

ANL= Plastic and metal fuse, clamped at each end as well but with screws. By far the superior fuse style.

Its offered in much more amperages than AGU.

Thanks, right now my wire is fused under my hood, right before my firewall. The sundowns have 4x40a fuses I think, and if my wire is rated for 100a. Should I get a 100a fuse, or more?

And also, should I buy a bigger fuse now, in anticipation for my front stage upgrades, or just get a whole new fuse when the time comes?

Get some bigger wire or do another run of 4ga. Unless you want a fire....

The eKo cable is rated for 80A, and the Kolossus Kable is rated for 120A.

Sigh, so for right now, Im probably going to get a 100a or 120a fuse. Then when I get my frontstage upgraded, I'll just get another fuse. By then I'll have a yellow top.
