differences between TS-W3001D4 and TS-W3004spl

does anyone have experience with both of these subs? if so, can you tell me which they liked better and y. i know the TS-W3001D4 series of pioneer premier is the newest one but, i cant find anyone that has owned it and compared it in any way to the TS-W3004spl. i am affraid that the newer series isnt made as good as the TS-W3004spl. i know they made some changes to the ts-w3004spl to make the TS-W3001D4 and i was wondering the differences sound wise between the two. i plan on buying 2 subs but im stuck on what the better choice is.

same sub, different years. I used to run 2 of them (down sized to 1) and I love them.
