Diference between stock.

So I was thinking about upgrading my stock speakers, Have 2 6.5's in the door and i think just 6x9's in the rear deck and that is all, besides the sub in the trunk of course.

Was wondering if I DID NOT hook these up to an amp would it be much of a difference from stock? Can you even hook them up without an amp?

you can hook them up with out an amp, youll need to be careful, especially if you go with a component set for the front, to make sure that you are sending as clean a signal as possible, to avoid doing any damage to them.

that said, you will notice a slight difference, depending on what you have now and what you go with the amount of change can vary quite a bit.

i personally like them better than coax.

but regardless in most cases any quality replacements will sound better than stock.

any particular speakers you were looking into getting.

Wasn't really looking into a particular speaker, I just wanted to know if it could be done without an amp, reason being routing the amp for my sub was somewhat of a headache and that was only 1 speaker,so I don't wanna even begin to think about of much of a nightmare 4 speakers would be. And also an amp is just more money...

But I was thinking something around 40-60 bucks a speaker. Any suggestions?

very solid, i have them in my car and im using them for some midbass fill, but will take a quite a bit of power before they get unhappy, and sound good doing it.

and theseshould take care of what you need for 6.5s

you could always go with something a little higher up if you wanted. or wait till you get it in the budget and build schedule to do a second amp and then upgrade from there.
