diesel deadening

I have a 99 ford f250 crew cab with a pioner head unit 400 watt amp and a set of truck box speakers. I want to deaden the truck to get rid of the noisy diesel and road noise to hear my system better. I don't want to spend a lot of money. the floor area is 8x6 and the doors are 3x2. What are some of the good mat. out there. Dynamat ,fatmat, hushmat. Thanks for the help

If your goal is to decrease road noise, don't be surprised when a mat deadener doesn't give you the results you are after //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Mat deadener's main purpose is mass loading the panels to reduce vibrations...not to combat airborne noise.

If you want to decrease road noise, your best option is to use a liquid deadener such as SecondSkin Spectrum in combination with a foam product such as Ensolite from Raammat or Overkill from SecondSkin. Liquid deadening has much better barrier loading properties (i.e. reflect & absorb sound) than mat deadeners. And that's foam's entire purpose; to absorb & reflect sound.
