I bought a G&S GS6000 from ampjunkielikeme, and I plugged it into my car, and it ran. I didn't set anything up, just wanted to make sure it ran.

So, then I realized... the bish doesn't have mounting spots!

Here's some pix:

Here's one of the corner. The hole to the far right is bigger than the one on the left, and with the bottom panel on, there's a hole there as shown in later pics:

Any ideas how to mount it? I was thinking of putting small bolts through, then bolt straight through whatever I mount it to. But, I don't know how well that'd work.

Honestly, gtfo. I don't give a fuck about your useless *** post.

It's easily a 15 pound amp and I want to mount it vertically. Not even industrial-strength velcro will hold it with all the movement and vibration in the car, not to mention the constant sway of kinetic energy.

Now STFU and say something useful.

Shit haha. Bad day? Anyway i dont think anything will help really unless you make a bracket yourself out of wood or whatever. You could make a smaller box the size of the amp and use a plexi front to have the amp sit on. Put some foam strips or whatever in the back on the box to compensate for the gap. A little bit of work, and thinking on your part. Makes for killing an afternoon though.

fine you want an honest answer that will work, DUCT TAPE it together and also duct tape a board to the back while your wrapping the tape around the amp. Then screw the board to w\e you want.

get you some pieces of metal from a hardware store some strong straps with holes
Sounds like a kovemaster install.. str8 from teh getto as he would put it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

nothin getto about it better then useing wood for feet. you get a piece of metal cut it to fit the amp and make it look right what's getto about it? just how do you think the factory brackets look? probably like a piece of metal //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif i just gave him a simple way to mount it, not knowing what tools or equipment he is able to get his hands on.

okay, buy some machine bolts from home depot, get a piece of 3/8 or 1/4 plywood and make a base that is about 1 inche wider than the amp, bolt it to it, centered. then you have 1 inch tabs on either side for screwing or whatever you want to use to mount it up, paint the wood, rhino line it, carpet it, it doesn't matter, and get bolts thta are small enough to be able to cut off the back side so they dont cause any impedance to where you mount, or you can counter sink the nuts with a drill bit that is slightly larger than the nut, by drilling the depth of the size of the nut where your bolt is going to be, make sure you use pressure washers or lock nuts...

Thanks, Shaneb. I'll keep this in mind, but I was looking for a little less bulky.

I have a small sheet of 1/4 Ply I have lying around from my brother's speaker's baffle.

I might get a strip of metal that goes across the whole amp and offsets by a few inches, then mark up lines, and drill right through, then mount bolts... or something. I'm not even sure.

Jesus man, you act like he told you the reason your grandmother got cancer was because she was a crack *****.

All he said was to use velcro. And industrial-strength velcro WILL hold a 15lb amp vertical in your car.
