didnt Kicker patent square subs?

So the HiFonics Atlas doesn't have ribbed corners?
Since Kicker patented that particular design cue I would suggest the L5s and L7s are the only subs that will ever have them.

That triangle sub has ribbed corners...wouldn't that be against the patent?

Oh and in that case the Kickers have their ribbed corners for reasons so I change my previous statements saying the Atlas is on par with the L5's or L7's. They would prob. crap out alot sooner than the kicker.

i'm sure a lot of these companies weren't the first to make round subs, so where is the round sub patend //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
Do you know how old the round sub is, I dont even think they had such things as patend. And if there was, people werent as Idea stealing hungry as today. Case closed!

A) You and TeeBone need to learn the proper spelling of "patent."

B) I would suggest likely there weren't subs of any shape in the 1400s so that blows that statement out of the water //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

History of patent law

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The history of patents and patent laws is generally considered to have started in Italy with a Venetian Statute of 1474 which was issued by the Republic of Florence. They issued a decree by which new and inventive devices, once they had been put into practice, had to be communicated to the Republic in order to obtain legal protection against potential infringers. The period of protection was 10 years(Patents, however, existed before the law; in 1421[1] and there is evidence suggesting that something like patents was used among some ancient Greek cities.[2])

.....to make the tire that Mr. Goodyear developed way back....
Actually, it was Mr. Seiberling that founded the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. There was never a Mr. Goodyear of which the company's name was derived.

didnt credence produce the L5's and L7's for Stillwater? I remember like 2 years ago they were selling the same subs pictured below except the baskets were the same as the L7's. Hell, the model number for the 12" sub below is 12L72-S
